No album artwork from Apple products on Microsoft's Sync. Ford would be smart to ditch Microsoft and make this software on their NAV more Apple friendly since the vast majority of their customers are using iPods, iPhones and iPads.

The Jukebox is a waste of time. The USB player needs a lot of work.

Press USB manually on the Media page.

Simply unplug the phone from USB and plug it back in, press the Line In button to switch to USB and it plays with audio. The bug seems to be related to the phone connecting via Bluetooth at the same time you plug it into USB.

Try paying for the music and see if that helps. :)

I have a 3GS with iOS 4.0.1 and a brand new Ford Flex 2011 with 3.2 Nav Sync. My iPhone USB works fine and the voice control controls the music. I had an issue with the indexing when I first got the car, but I ran the SyncMyiTunes software on my Macintosh computer, deleted the music on the iPhone, synced the phone, plugged it into the Sync and it works fine now. The phone calls work fine. I optimized the voice recognition by creating a user default in Sync and that has improved voice accuracy. Text isn't supported with my phone, according to the Sync. The only issue I have now is sometimes the Bluetooth will make the USB audio become mute even though the audio levels are set high. The sound just gets completely cut out. The fix for me is to unplug the dock cable at the phone (don't know if it makes a difference if you unplug the USB end or not) and plug it right back in and press the USB button on Sync. Works every time.

I just got it three days ago. :) I'll take it to the dealer. :(

I noticed that when I'm listening to my iPhone music through the USB port, I can hear the hum of the accelerator/engine. When I press the gas peddle down, you can hear this sound rev up and down through the stereo system. I think this is a common problem with car stereos. Anyone else getting this? Is there a filter of some kind I can get to fix it? Thanks!

OK, so today the iPhone worked just fine. Weird. I plugged it into the USB and was able to control the music with voice and it worked great and was able to use voice to make phone calls. ??????? I have no clue what changed.

I was scared when I saw "Powered by Microsoft" before I bought the car and I realize now my fear was justified. I hear Apple is now getting the iPod/iPad interface working on BMW systems. From what I've read, you plug your iPhone into the USB port and the screen on your car mirrors the screen on your iPhone. I hope that comes to Ford in the future. This Sync user interface is like Windows 3.
