Thanks for the information Mike, it is definately handy and like the others, I do look forward to hearing back if this will be available for existing SYNC device owners.  I have noticed that with iOS 4.x and SYNC that the custom ring tones now carry over the stereo system with my integrated bluetooth profile.  I'm just realy looking forward to this, because with the closer integration with SYNC and changes included in iOS 4.x I no longer get the extra noises when messages come in (which is for the better) but can also be a concern incase I miss those important messages. If there is anything you can do to make that integration need known to others at Ford to know that MAP on existing SYNC systems it would be very beneficial and appreciated from a consumer stand-point.

I'm not sure how many other members of the SYNC family are out there like me, but with the states and government beginning to do the crack down on text messaging I thought I'd start a forumn topic.  As of right now I do understand that there are limited phones with Text messageing readback availability through the SYNC system.  I think alot of those devices are Windows Mobile based if I am correct.  However, my request is to make it so that SYNC can do the same with the iOS 4 environment (since I own an iPhone) and equally for those members who may be in the RIM family as well. I don't know the difficutlies invovled, or the processes that need to take place for FORD to make such a venture, but honestly I trust ford with my friend, family and personal safety.  The only way to make that safety better is to expand on this functionality and grant it to other vehicle owners with the systems that are in place.  I understand that there may be licensing costs, but to me those factors are minor when it comes down to owner loyalty and features offered. Wtih the above said, is there anyone else that feels the same?  ... And Mike if you're browsing the forums, I know that you are restricted on commenting on efforts taking place.  But I would kindly ask that you bring this to the forefront and attetntion of highter execs at FORD if at all possible.
