I was wondering the same thing.  Seems like nothing has been said since the initial press release.

Looks like it's going to be tomorrow (July 5).

Send to SYNC is now live on Google Maps! FAQs for this new feature can also be found in the Google Maps support section called "Using Maps with your navigation device'.

Not sure if those asking have seen this yet, but I just found the instruction on how to 'Send to SYNC' with Google Maps.  Just took delivery of my new Milan last night, so learning more and more about what SYNC can do as I go here!

It's actually pretty easy to use.  Search your route in Google Maps, then click the "Send" link.  Click Car on the left of the popup, select the Make of your vehicle (Ford/Lincoln/Mercury) and enter your mobile phone number and click Send.

You can only send one destination at a time, if you send a second destination before downloading the first one in the car you lose the first one (I believe).  Click the "Learn More" for the details on the system.

First those of us with the more expensive built-in nav systems don't get horoscopes and now this (not that I really care about the horoscopes, but it's the principle of having the most expensive option and it lacks some features of the lower end units). I know we can use the screen in the car to look stuff up but it would be so much easier to do it from a computer. I had a GPS from Dash (who is now out of the GPS business after being purchased by RIM) that allowed me to look up an address on my home computer and send it to the GPS. When I got in the car and turned on my GPS the address I looked up would be right there and I just had to hit go. This would be great to do with the nav system in my Mustang, especially if I have a long drive the next day. Rather than waste time punching the address into the gps in the car (which has been a tedious process in every built-in nav system I've ever used) I could just hop in the car and go. Perhaps this could be implemented in the future?

Well again the Canadian Ford owner misses out.

mmmmm I wonder how many of them will buy another Ford...I probably won't.

I have a feeling we, Canadian owners, will always be "missing out". Ford, this forum's moderator or "Mike" who comments regularly on other posts, has yet to give us any sign of hope. I love how my dealer had invited me to read reviews and see the demos before buying. It's really deceptive when everyone one raves about SYNC Services and the service isn't available to us. Way to go Ford. The least you can do is learn to be a little more social and give Canadian owners like me a little update. If you don't plan on ever offering the service, just say so so I can move on.

As far as I can tell from the help on Google's site, you can do that with NAV as well. I don't have NAV in mine so I can't try it out though. http://maps.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=75505

Repeated attempts to send maps to my 2010 nav-equiped FuHy with long-established My Sync (Firm 3.1) and phone # results in "Invalid user account" message.  WTF?
