Ever since I updated my iPhone 3G OS to the latest 3.1 version I've been having a problem with the iPhone automatically starting to play music when I start my Escape. I have NEVER attempted to listen to music via Bluetooth in my Escape, but the iPhone starts playing music no matter what the Escape's stereo is set to. It says the output is being sent to SYNC, even though the stereo is set on something else. It can be on CD, Sirius, etc, and the iPhone starts right up with the music. I've tried removing the iPhone from SYNC and doing the pairing again, I've gone into SYNC settings and turned off autoplay, I've stopped playback on the iPhone and changed the output back to iPhone rather than SYNC while the Esacpe is running...and nothing seems to make this behavior stop. Sometimes the music will stop when I turn off the Escape, and sometimes it keeps playing after I turn off the Escape. There's GOT to be a way of stopping this from happening, and I would love to know how to do it! This does nothing but waste battery on my iPhone...especially when I don't think to check it and make sure the music isn't playing. This may have been happening before I updated the iPhone to 3.1, but if it was I never noticed it before.
