Hi All,

I see that SYNC 3.1 is out for those vehicles which support it.... There are some notes on the update about what it improves.... But I do have a few questions.

Does this improve the issue with the NAVI based cars with the VHR report wanting to consistantly run?

What are the USB and bluetooth enhancement included?

There's to little of data on the update message regarding this update, and looks like its alot for the TDI process, but I can't take advantage of that piece since I have the NAVI.... Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Yes, the VHR issue you refer to should not occur anymore.  It was a rare condition that was difficult to reproduce so we put in some mitigation actions to prevent it.  As far as other items go, issues are tracked against versions by occurance throught development, production, and service.  My view into that huge amount of data would not be of much use to you.  On the other hand, I agree with your point that a basic statement about "USB and Bluetooth Enhancements" is not enough for some people.  I am not really involved in the marketing decisions around that, but perhaps eventually we will find some time to spend on that area to find a better balance.  A very small number of people actually take updates though and I don't know if spending a lot of effort to improve the information would cause any real increase in those numbers.

Mike,

Do you know if the new update helps to resolve the indexing issue when tyring to use an Iphone with the USB cable?  Also, any chance it fixes the issue with streaming audio via bluetooth automatically each time you turn on the car?

Thank You

It does not seem to affect the bluetooth autoplay.  :-(  I had high hopes.

Not sure about the indexing issue you were seeing.  Every time I plug my phone in it warns me that some tracks were unable to be indexed.  I have no idea what those might be (very frustrating).  That issue was also unresolved.
